Talks fail over nuclear plant at Kudankulam

The second round of talks over the Kudankulam nuclear power plant between an expert panel appointed by the Centre and Tamil Nadu representatives have apparently failed. The village representatives after their meet with the panel said that expert committee is 'insensitive' and it undermines public fear over the safety of the plant.

After weeks of protests, the first face-to-face dialogue on the stalled Kudankulam nuclear plant in Tamil Nadu will take place today between the state-appointed panel, which comprises of representatives of the anti-nuclear protesters and between the 15-member independent expert group, appointed by the central government.
