Sasikala Natarajan Wealth Case

Karnataka High Court has stayed for three weeks the proceedings against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's close aide Sasikala Natarajan in the disproportionate assets case against them in a court here.

A Special Court trying the disproportionate wealth case against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today pulled up her close aide and second accused Sasikala Natarajan for pointing fingers at others during her deposition in the case.

Sasikala Natarajan, close aide of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and co-accused in the wealth case against her, blamed the police on Monday for conducting searches and seizing documents in two of the firms in which she was a director and partner.

The Special Court today rejected applications filed by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and her aide Sasikala Natarajan in the wealth case seeking perusal of unmarked documents pertaining to the case.

The Special Court on Thursday adjourned the recording of statement of Sasikala Natarajan, estranged aide and co-accused in the wealth case against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa till hearing of an application filed by Sasikala's counsel on Friday.
