Crisis-hit Jet Airways yesterday paid the balance amount of salaries for the month of August to its pilots, engineers and senior management but told them that September payments would be delayed, sources said.

Central Institutions Can Now Pay Salaries Through Bank Or Cheque

The cabinet has today cleared an ordinance or executive order to allow businesses to pay salaries through electronic mode and cheques. The order will only be applicable to central government-administered institutions.
