Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) volunteers will formally wear its new uniform, brownish trousers and brownish socks during the 'Path-Sanchalan' to be organised in Jaipur on the occasion of 'Vijayadashmi' on Tuesday.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh or RSS members will have to bring out their new full pants for rallies that they plan in Tamil Nadu in October to celebrate Vijayadashmi, with the state's high court saying they cannot march in the half pants that they have worn for nine decades.

RSS on Tuesday started sale of its new uniform, brownish trousers and brownish socks, to its volunteers which will be worn on the occasion of 'Vijayadashmi'.

With the RSS deciding to go in for a sartorial change from its trademark half pants to trousers, new sets of uniform will be provided to its volunteers ahead of the foundation-day celebrations on the Vijayadashami day on October 11, at its headquarters in Nagpur and other centres across the country.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's new khaki pants were delivered today at its shop that sells uniforms near its headquarters in Nagpur, Maharashtra. 10,000 of them in the first batch, each for Rs 250.
