Republic Day Eve 2020

Cellphone services in Kashmir Valley - switched off since last night - were restored this evening, sources said. The service was snapped on the eve of the Republic Day celebrations as a precautionary measure.

President Ram Nath Kovind addressed the nation on the eve of the 71st Republic Day. Conveying his heartfelt wishes, President Kovind said that the Constitution empowers every citizen with their rights, but also mandates them to adhere to the central tenets of democracy, i.e. justice, liberty, equality and fraternity:

President Ram Nath Kovind is addressing the nation on the eve of the 71st Republic Day. The address is being broadcast across the entire national network of All India Radio and is being telecast over all channels of Doordarshan in Hindi which will be followed by the English version.
