Red Sea Port Ship Sank

An overladen ship crammed with thousands of sheep sank Sunday in Sudan's Red Sea port of Suakin drowning the animals on board but with all crew surviving, port officials said.

Survivors from a ferry that sank after encountering steering problems in the central Philippines said on Sunday that they were tossed about by the churning sea in darkness for six hours while praying and clinging to an overturned life raft before a passing ship rescued them.
