Rape Accused Roman Polanski

A French former model and actress on Friday accused Oscar-winning director Roman Polanski, whose new film on the persecution of French Jewish army officer Alfred Dreyfus premieres next week, of raping her in a Swiss ski resort when she was a teenager.

A judge said Monday he would issue a written ruling on whether fugitive filmmaker Roman Polanski can return to the US without fear of being jailed for having sex with a minor.

Opinions were divided on whether the comment was directed at Woody Allen, who was never charged with the historic abuse accusations against him or director Roman Polanski, who has been living in Europe to escape charges that he raped a 13-year-old in the United States
