Faced with tough questions from National Green Tribunal (NGT), the Water Resources ministry today told the panel it has not granted permission for 'World Cultural Festival' being organised by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's Art of Living foundation from March 11 while another ministry said no clearance was required for temporary structures.

PM Modi To Attend IMF Regional Conference On Asia In Delhi

26/11 trial in Pakistan court adjourned again

An anti-terrorism court today adjourned the trial of seven suspects charged with involvement in the Mumbai attacks till March 2 after prosecutors said they would submit an assurance from the Indian government that a Pakistani judicial commission will be allowed to cross-examine Indian witnesses.

Life term to youth for raping 77-year-old: Court says 'no woman is safe'

A 22-year-old youth has been sentenced to life imprisonment by a Delhi court for raping a 77-year-old woman in the Capital. The court observed that the case was a glaring example of how "no woman is safe, whatever her age".
