Pawan Insan, a close aide of jailed Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, was arrested by the Haryana police today. "Pawan Insan was nabbed from near Lalru (in Punjab). He had been absconding for over two months," Panchkula Deputy Commissioner of Police Manbir Singh said.

Sources say she was questioned till 3 am on the charges against her, which include sedition and rioting.

Most of the 38 people who died in Friday's violence in Panchkula are followers of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singhthe the Haryana police said today. Seventeen of the men, a senior officer said, have been identified. Eight of them were Dera followers from Punjab, Chief Minister Amarinder Singh said today.
