The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) of the United Kingdom has recently added Pakistan to its list of countries that it states are "too dangerous" for UK citizens to travel, reported Geo News.

Pakistan is seeking a "civilised" and "even-handed" relationship with Washington like the one that existed between the US and the UK or with India "right now", Prime Minister Imran Khan has said.

The US and the UK have asked Pakistan to hand over Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, the mastermind of the 2008 Mumbai attack, to India to improve bilateral ties or to them for his "independent trial".

He also does not see any possibility of top cricket playing nations like India, England or Australia touring Pakistan in the coming years. "The BCCI follows its government's instructions in any ties with Pakistan while the UK and Australia are part of the NATO forces so they won't be sending their teams either," he said.

Reeling under anti-US public sentiments, Pakistan has asked Britain, which has "undoubted influence" over Americans, to mediate with the Obama administration in its dispute over the killing of 24 of its soldiers in a NATO attack that has frozen their ties.

The planned three-match football series between India and Pakistan in the UK has been derailed and the two countries will now play just one match of the scheduled tie, at Derby on September 3.
