Opposition News Sites Blocked

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said on Saturday that Facebook was back at the negotiating table after the tech giant this week blocked news on its site in the country.

Egypt blocked several media websites on Wednesday including those belonging to the Qatari Al-Jazeera news channel and an opposition television station based in Turkey, a security official said.

Russia has blocked three major opposition news websites as well as the popular blog of Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny, the latest in a media crackdown that comes amid Moscow's standoff with the West over Ukraine.
