Some 1.1 billion teenagers and young adults are at risk of hearing loss due to unsafe use of personal audio devices, including smartphones, and exposure to damaging levels of sound at nightclubs, bars and sporting events, the World Health Organisation has warned.

IIT experts to help cut noise near Delhi airport

The central government on Wednesday informed the Delhi High Court that it has sought help from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) experts to reduce the noise level near the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport here. It had sought suggestions from IIT experts to check noise arising from planes, specially at night.
