Indian Airlines to pay Rs 50,000 to two passengers for flight cancellation

Indian Airlines has been asked by the apex consumer commission to pay Rs 50,000 as compensation to a man and his daughter for delay in informing them about cancellation of their flight due to which they could not make any alternative arrangements.

Lufthansa Airlines has been asked by the national consumer commission to pay over Rs one lakh to a person for not allowing him to board a flight from Tusan in USA to New Delhi via Frankfurt on the ground that he did not have a transit visa for Germany.

After 17-year wait, couple to get refund on car deposit

The National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission in Delhi granted relief to the couple last week on Tuesday, by directing them to recover their money with 9 per cent interest from the date of booking onwards, along with Rs 5,000 as compensation for mental and physical harassment caused to them.
