The Narcotics Control Bureau on Thursday said a cartel involved in sending ganja through courier services has been busted and three persons, including the alleged kingpin hailing from Chhattisgarh, had been nabbed.

A parcel consisting of narcotic substances that was being smuggled into India in an international courier parcel was intercepted at the Air Cargo Complex by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI).

A differently-abled man, who had booked a parcel to Spain through a courier company in which heroin was concealed in the heels of various footwear, has been sentenced to 10 years jail term by a Delhi court.

Drug cartels sold narcotics in the United States and routed the cash to Mexico, often using couriers to smuggle it across the border.
