Blaming the state government for the "constant reign of terror" in West Bengal, BJP MP and national spokesperson MJ Akbar today said people of the state will throw out Trinamool Congress in the next elections.

At least two people - one from the Communist Party of India-Marxist or CPM and another from the Trinamool Congress or TMC - were killed in poll-related clashes in West Bengal today where three districts voted in the third phase of the panchayat polls.

With over 60 more deaths since last night due to consumption of spurious liquor at Sangrampur village in South 24 Paraganas district, the toll in what is one of West Bengal's worst hooch tragedies has gone up to 143.
