In her first tweet in seven days, Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj said this morning that she is in hospital 'because of kidney failure' and undergoing tests for a transplant. Within moments of her post, she received a massive response from people wishing her a speedy recovery. Some also offered her their own kidneys.

Someone on Twitter thought it wise to pay the foreign minister a 'sarcastic' (his word, not ours) and back-handed compliment. Ms Swaraj wasn't having any of it and rightly so.

It seems Twitter really thinks Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj has some kind of magic wand that can make all their troubles vanish. About two months ago, a Twitter user asked the minister for help with his refrigerator and now, someone else has tweeted Ms Swaraj an SOS about his car.

In several tweets, Rukmini Shankar, who recently graduated class 10, wrote to the minister asking for help when her father was allegedly taken into police custody after an accident in Saudi Arabia.
