A court in Maharashtra's Yavatmal district has acquitted Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in a defamation case over a cartoon about a protest march organized by members of the Maratha community in 2016.

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray today apologised for a cartoon which appeared in the party mouthpiece - Saamana - that poked fun at the silent or 'muk' protests carried out by Maratha community in Maharashtra.
