Kulbhushan Jadhav Death Sentence Fallout

Kulbhushan Jadhav has 60 days to appeal against his death sentence, Pakistan said today while defending its action against the Indian man. Responding to strong outrage and condemnation in India, Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif claimed Mr Jadhav was sentenced after a "three-month trial" and no laws were violated.

In a tweet on Tuesday evening, Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj seemed to dismiss reports that she had asked Congress lawmaker Shashi Tharoor to help draft a resolution condemning Pakistan for giving the death sentence to former Indian Navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav.
