Kingfisher Airlines cancelled 30 flights today, thus further increasing inconveniencing passengers who already faced a similar situation over the weekend. In a statement released today, the cash-strapped airline said that it was the attachment of its bank accounts by the Income Tax department that had affected its operations.

The Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) has agreed to 'de-freeze' Kingfisher Airline's accounts. The private carrier assured its board on Monday that all arrears would be paid by March 2012, finance ministry sources said.
