Her husband, the bread winner for the family of two children, is the latest victim of political murders in Kerala. 52-year-old Santosh, a BJP candidate for the panchayat elections in Kannur died in a hospital on Wednesday after being hacked to death, allegedly by CPM activists.

Corporate Group to Govern a Panchayat in Kerala for First Time

A Kerala-based corporate group Anna Kitex will literally govern the entire panchayat for the first time after winning the elections. As a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility programme, Kitex Group launched a social platform Twenty20 and fielded 19 independent candidates, for all the wards.
