Kerala Boy Killed In Stray Dog Attack

The Kerala government today granted Rs 10 lakh as financial aid to the family of a differently-abled boy who was attacked and killed by a pack of stray dogs at Muzhappilangad in northern Kannur district earlier this month.

An 8-year-old has been hospitalised after she was mauled by three canines at her house in Kerala. The incident took place in the same town where an 11-year-old boy was killed after being attacked by dogs on June 11.

Over eight months after the Kerala government launched a vaccination drive for stray and pet canines in the wake of a spate of deaths due to dog bites, the stray dog menace has again reared its ugly head.
