"Please ask Imran and Kangana that why is it that they aren't on social media," said director Nikhil Advani. And Kangana said: "I prepared for the character of Datto for six months and I didn't even talk to my mother. When do you think I'll have the time to be on social media?"

In August, he trended for two consecutive days with a raft of quips and jibes being made about him crying every time he watched nephew Imran's new film Katti Batti. Katti Batti director Nikhil Advani told NDTV last month, "It's a tearjerker. The last 22 minutes and I literally had to sit and hold the tissue box for Aamir

"I needed to capture real and natural reactions of the cast in this particular portion. I figured the best way of doing this would be not giving any script or dialogue and not to prepare the actors for this scene. This was only done to bring out the originality of the scene"

Talking about how Nikhil convinced him for the role when he did not like the script, Imran said: "Nikhil wanted me to let him narrate the story once more. As I had decided about not doing the movie, I thought what difference would it make if he narrates. So I kept delaying it for one or two months"

"Salman (Khan) said you should hear him out because this is a role tailor-made for you. And so I wanted to see what does he think of me as an artist? He hasn't worked with me so I wanted to know what his perception of me as an actor is, because he's not that open with his perceptions," said Kangana Ranaut

Nikhil Advani told NDTV, "It's a tearjerker. The last 22 minutes and I literally had to sit and hold the tissue box for Aamir. He has copious tears!"

"Aamir and the Katti Batti story started almost a year ago. I went and narrated the script to him after which he suggested one very important change," he said
