Jharkhand Ias Officer Suspended

Jharkhand IAS officer Chhavi Ranjan, arrested in connection with alleged illegal land deals, was suspended by the Jharkhand government on Saturday, an official said.

Suspended Jharkhand IAS officer Pooja Singhal was paid "commission" by subordinate staff from MGNREGA funds of Khunti district which she and her husband subsequently utilised for acquiring various properties, the ED claimed in a statement.

The Jharkhand government on Friday suspended Indian Administrative Service officer Syed Riaz Ahmed, who was arrested for allegedly sexually harassing a trainee Indian Institute of Technology student.
