Protesters with the Black Lives Matter movement briefly shut down the Mall of America and blocked traffic at the Minneapolis airport on Wednesday as last minute Christmas shoppers and travelers looked on.

Minneapolis Black Lives Matter protesters paused on Thursday to share a community Thanksgiving Day meal on the spot outside a police station where they have been demonstrating for more than a week over the fatal police shooting of an unarmed black man.

Police were holding three white men in custody as they investigated the shooting of five people who were protesting the police killing of a black man in the Midwestern city of Minneapolis.
