Drive Against Public Drinking

In order to rope in people in its ongoing drive against open drinking, Delhi government on Wednesday decided to issue a WhatsApp number through which people could make complaint against those consuming liquor in public places in the national capital.

As many as 400 persons have so far been arrested by the excise department of Delhi government in the ongoing drive against public drinking in the national capital.

Intensifying its special drive against public drinking, the Excise department of Delhi government has arrested 45 people, taking the number of violators to 122 in the last three days.

41 people were held in the National Capital for consuming liquor in public places by the Excise Department on the second day of its special drive against open drinking, taking the total numbers of people arrested to 77.
