An IndiGo flight from Varanasi to the national capital received a bomb threat on Saturday and all passengers safely disembarked from the aircraft after landing at the Delhi airport.

A passenger travelling on SpiceJet's Delhi-Varanasi flight tried to open the emergency door of the aircraft mid-air, but was restrained by the flight crew and co-passengers, the airline said on Sunday.

Budget carrier SpiceJet today said it will launch two daily return flights from New Delhi for Varanasi from March 1.
