बागपत में किसानों के आंदोलन के बीच नरेश टिकैत का बयान चर्चा में है. उन्होंने प्रशासन को 15 अगस्त तक का अल्टीमेटम देते हुए कहा कि अगर मांग नहीं मानी गई तो किसान तिरंगा यात्रा निकालकर दिल्ली-देहरादून हाईवे पर खुद कट खोल देंगे.

इस एक साल में किसानों पर आतंकवादी, खालिसतानी होने के आरोप लगे तो सैकड़ों किसानों की ठंड, दुर्घटना और बीमारियों की वजह से मौत भी हुई. फिर भी किसान शांतिपूर्ण तरीके से डटे रहे.

कृषि कानूनों के रद्द होने की घोषणा के बाद भी किसानों का आंदोलन अभी भी जारी है. 29 नवंबर को किसान संसद की तरफ ट्रैक्टर रैली निकालने वाले हैं, जिसे देखते हुए गाजीपुर बार्डर में सुरक्षा बढ़ा दी गई है.

पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री चरणजीत सिंह चन्नी ने एक ट्वीट करते हुए पुष्टि की कि उनकी सरकार दिल्ली पुलिस द्वारा गिरफ्तार किए गए लोगों को मुआवजा देगी.

दिल्ली पुलिस (Delhi Police) ने आज (शुक्रवार) सालाना प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस की. पुलिस कमिश्नर एसएन श्रीवास्तव (SN Shrivastava) ने बताया कि दिल्ली दंगों (Delhi Violence) के दौरान 755 केस दर्ज किए गए. जिसके बाद 1811 लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया. दंगों में 53 लोगों की मौत हुई थी. 581 लोग घायल हुए थे. पुलिस कमिश्नर ने बताया कि 231 आरोपियों की पहचान वीडियो फुटेज के जरिए की गई. आरोपियों की पहचान में सीसीटीवी और फेस रिकॉग्निशन सिस्टम की मदद ली गई.
