Defence Scientist G Satheesh Reddy

Distinguished scientist Samir V Kamat was on Thursday appointed as Secretary of the Department of Defence Research and Development and Chairman of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), according to a Personnel Ministry order.

The anti-satellite missile test entered a "mission mode" in the last six months with over a 100 scientists working round-the-clock to meet the launch deadline, chief of the Defence Research and Development Organisation, G Satheesh Reddy said today.

Distinguished aerospace scientist G Satheesh Reddy was on Saturday appointed the Chairman of the Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO) and Secretary in the Department of Defence Research and Development (DDR&D).

The Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS), London has conferred G Satheesh Reddy, Scientific Adviser to the Defence Minister, with the Society's 2015 Silver Medal for work contributing to major advances or contributions in aerospace.
