Cyclone Ashobaa

As cyclone Ashobaa intensifies over the east central Arabian sea, 590 km off the coast of Mumbai, Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar on Monday said contingency plans were in place to handle the fallout of the storm.

As the deep depression over east- central Arabian Sea further intensified into a cyclonic storm "Ashobaa", the weather department in Ahmedabad issued a warning to fishermen along the Gujarat coast, which is expected to receive heavy rainfall in the next 48 hours.
