The elderly owners of Baba Ka Dhaba, a street-side food kiosk in Delhi's Malviya Nagar, today made a fresh start after social media users helped pull them back from the utter destitution to which the COVID-19 lockdown had pushed them.

The Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL), Hyderabad has added another product to the portfolio of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) to combat coronavirus (COVID-19) by developing COVID Sample Collection Kiosk (COVSACK), said the Defence Ministry in a statement today.

Six walk-in kiosks for mass collection of samples for coronavirus testing - seen first in South Korea - have been built in Kerala's Ernakulam district. For now, these will be located at each of the four hospitals in the district, which have isolation wards and testing facilities.
