COVID-19 vaccines could be made available to "our countrymen" as early as the "next few days", Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan said today. A second countrywide dry run for vaccination will be held tomorrow from which a few states, which had undergone it earlier, will be exempt.

A second dry run for COVID-19 vaccination will be held in all the states on Friday, sources have said. The first massive dry run was held on January 2. The exercise checked the best way to vaccinate people against COVID-19 and plug loopholes in logistics and training.

India added 19,079 coronavirus infections in the past 24 hours, placing its overall number at 1.03 crore cases, the Health Ministry's data showed.
