Chittorgarh School Students

The Rajasthan Government has decided to increase the scholarship amount and annual family income ceiling of students studying in Sainik Schools. The state government will provide Rs 15,000-37,500 instead of Rs 10,000-25,000 to its students studying in Sainik Schools in Chittorgarh and Jhunjhunu.

Over 300 students and teachers of a private school, who were stuck in a building for the last two days due to floods triggered by heavy rains and discharge of water from the overflowing Rana Pratap sagar dam, were rescued on Monday in Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan, an official said.

At least 350 students and 50 teachers have been stuck at a school in Chittorgarh for the past 24-hours in view of the flood-like situation in the region.
