Two tiger cubs injured by a train on the Midghat railway track in Madhya Pradesh's Budhni were successfully rescued by forest department officials.

Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday resigned as the MLA from his traditional Budhni seat in Madhya Pradesh, days after getting elected to the Lok Sabha from Vidisha in the state.

A day after the Congress fielded actor Vikram Mastal, best known for playing the role of Lord Hanuman in a TV serial, to take on Shivraj Singh Chouhan on his home turf Budhni in the next month's assembly polls, Kamal Nath said.

Farmers in Budhni and Nasrullaganj areas of Madhya Pradesh's Sehore district were seen beating utensils, as advised by the state agriculture department, to drive away locusts that have attacked standing crops on their farms.
