Over 300 workers including 88 children were rescued from a brick kiln in Tamil Nadu today where they were being forced to work for up to 20 hours a day without a proper salary.

The Tamil Nadu police rescued 563 people including 365 bonded labourers on Wednesday from a brick kiln in the Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu. Six people have been arrested, but the owner of the brick kiln is on the run.

Authorities in Tamil Nadu have rescued 333 bonded labourers from a brick kiln in the Tiruvallur district. What is extremely shocking is that 75 of those rescued are children.
