Bollywood Lyricist Poet

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath called an urgent meeting on Tuesday following reports of unscheduled power cuts from different parts of the state. The meeting came just a day after Indore-based Urdu poet and Bollywood lyricist Dr Rahat Indori tweeted about the repeated power cuts during the holy month of Ramzan.

Poet and lyricist Javed Akhtar has insulted the Rajputs, the Karni Sena, a group that has been spearheading the protests against Bollywood film Padmavati, has alleged. The group has said he would be "banned" from Rajasthan and a complaint has been filed against Mr Akhtar, asking that the police lodge a case against him for inciting communal enmity.

"And I don't know why every time I used to think of escaping, I thought of going to Sangli, a city that I have never been to," he said

If one make a list of Hindi film villains, one can write the socio-economic history of India, said popular Bollywood lyricist, poet and scriptwriter Javed Akhtar Friday at the Jaipur Literature Festival Friday.
