Bangalore Development Authority Officials Charged In Rs 100 Crore Land Scam

Some officials of the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) were on Saturday booked for swapping prime land acquired by the authority with another parcel of property,causing a Rs 100 crore loss, BDA chairman S R Vishwanath said.

Barely a fortnight after he was released from jail in two land scam cases, the Lokayukta Court today ordered a probe into a private complaint against former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, Housing Minister V Somanna and two others, alleging irregularities in denotification of land in the state capital.

But he cannot leave prison till he gets bail in both cases. The order on the second case will not be out today as the hearing has been adjourned till tomorrow.
