Outlining a 10-point agenda for renewing efforts for disaster risk reduction, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today stressed on encouraging involvement of women volunteers and sought greater cohesion in international response to deal with all kinds of calamities.

The First World Tsunami Awareness Day will be observed on November 5 during the upcoming Asian Ministerial Conference for Disaster Risk Reduction (AMCDRR) 2016, a government release said on Wednesday.

India will host the Asian Ministerial Conference for Disaster Risk Reduction (AMCDRR) next month which will focus on partnership with governments and stakeholders to imbibe the practices in the region's development narrative.
