As the borders with Pakistan remains active with repeated ceasefire violations, the Indian Air Force celebrates its 84th Foundation Day on Saturday by scintillating air display by various aircraft at Air Force Station Hindon in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad, near Delhi.

Describing the Rafale fighter jets as "exceptional", Indian Air Force chief Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha today said the force would like to have more of the aircraft and insisted that the recently signed contract for 36 fighters was better than other such deals.

Top commanders of Indian Air Force will meet in New Delhi today to brainstorm on various matters including drafting of women as fighter pilots, serviceability issues plaguing the force, and induction of fighter aircraft like LCA Tejas and Rafale.
