Indian Tech Firms To Pay Over USD 8,000 Per H-1B Visa

Almost all Indian IT companies would pay between USD 8,000 and USD 10,000 per H-1B visa from April 1 when the next annual H-1B visa filing session starts, thus making it quite unsustainable economically for them.

Barack Obama Raises H-1B Visa Fee; Signs Spending Bill

US President Barack Obama today signed into law a USD 1.8 trillion spending package which among other things introduces a hefty USD 4,000 fee for certain categories of H-1B visa and USD 4,500 for L1 visa.

Lok Sabha Passes Bill to Repeal 295 Obsolete Acts

A bill seeking to scrap a set of 295 obsolete Acts dealing with several issues including changes in marriage laws and cement hoarding was today passed by Lok Sabha which continued to witness boycott by Congress and several other opposition parties.
