Apollo Hospitals has denied a British media report claiming the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in Delhi is at the centre of an international "cash for kidneys" racket that sees poor people from Myanmar sell their organs for Rs 80-90 lakh each.

Apollo Kidney Racket: Senior Doctor's Assistant Arrested

A week after the illegal kidney racket came to light, the Delhi Police today arrested the personal assistant (PA) of a senior Apollo hospital nephrologist, who played a pivotal role in carrying out illegal transplants. Over 12 people have been arrested so far in the case.

Three nephrologists at Delhi's Apollo Hospital are likely to be questioned by Delhi Police in connection with the transplant surgeries performed under their supervision which were facilitated by the kidney racket in which 10 persons have been arrested so far.
