The government has refused to budge from its decision to blacklist one of India's most eminent scientists, G Madhavan Nair, from government jobs. When Mr Nair was Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation or ISRO, a deal was signed with a company named Devas that would have cost the government huge losses.

One of India's best-known scientists, G Madhavan Nair, who also headed the Indian Space Research Organization or ISRO, has been blacklisted for government jobs. The government's decision is based on Mr Nair's alleged role in allotting valuable and scarce S-band spectrum to a private company named Devas.
