A court in Mumbai on Monday granted bail to designer Anishka Jaisinghani, arrested for allegedly offering a bribe to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's wife Amrutafor intervening in a criminal case.

A court in Mumbai on Friday sent Aniksha Jaisinghani, arrested for allegedly offering a bribe to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's wife Amruta and also threatening her, to 14-day judicial custody.

Mumbai police have collected the handwriting and voice samples of Aniksha Jaisinghani, who is accused of trying to blackmail and bribe Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's wife Amruta, for forensic analysis.

The Malabar Hill police station had registered a First Information Report (FIR) on February 20 on Amruta Fadnavis's complaint.
