Kingfisher Beer Owner, Top Liquor Brands Fined Over 800 Crores In India
Competition Commission on Friday imposed penalties totalling over Rs 873 crore on United Breweries Ltd, Carlsberg India, All India Brewers' Association (AIBA) and other individuals for cartelisation in the sale and supply of beer in various states and Union Territories.

AIBA, an industry body of breweries operating in India, is also demanding a separate classification of beer from hard-drinks or spirits citing lesser alcohol content.
