The Bihar legislative Assembly today passed the second supplementary demands of the state government to the tune of Rs 6,714.22 crore and the Bihar Appropriation Bill (No. 4), 2015, by voice vote on the final day of the inaugural session of the newly-constituted 16th legislative Assembly.

The second day of the maiden session of the 16th Bihar legislative assembly began today with oath-taking by the newly elected legislators, including 98 first timers, officials said.

Seven-time MLA and ex-minister Prem Kumar was today unanimously elected as leader of the BJP legislature party in the newly-constituted 16th legislative Assembly.

Bihar Governor Ram Nath Kovind today administered oath to veteran Congress legislator Sadanand Singh as protem speaker of the newly-constituted 16th state Legislative Assembly.
