Actor Sonali Bendre did her bit for the society by joining the 6-hour Support My School Telethon with Ranveer Singh and Sourav Ganguly.
Sonali Bendre joined the discussion on the importance of education and said that it all starts at home. "What do I bring to the table as a parent? I want to teach my child to be a compassionate human being who can give back to the society. This goes beyond schools and textbooks," she said.
Sonali Bendre adopted a school by donating Rs 5,00,000 to the campaign.
"For me it's a big deal to be invited to co-anchor the Support My School campaign," said Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh.
Dada's Pathshala: Campaign's brand ambassador also played cricket with children during the 6-hour Telethon to revitalise neglected schools across the nation and curtail the number of children dropping out from schools.
A lot of children who come from underprivileged backgrounds don't have access to basic necessities in life. If they're helped, we can make champions out of them, said Sourav Ganguly at the Telethon.
