Dettol Hygiene Play Park Opens In Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh

With the vision of combining physical play with critical hygiene messages for children, Banega Swasth India has established a Hygiene Play Park in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. The park engages children in simple, fun, rooted culture games and reinforces critical preventive hygiene messages

  • The Hygiene Play Park is designed on five pillars of the Dettol Hygiene Curriculum: hygiene at home, hygiene at school, hygiene during illness, hygiene in the neighbourhood, and personal hygiene.
  • The park is accessible to children of all age groups and has been created with environment-friendly materials like rope, wood, and non-toxic paints.
  • The Hygiene Play Park has four junctions: STEM Junction, Hygiene Games, Hygiene Essentials which is a handwashing station, Free Play Games which has a trampoline and toddler junction gym.
  • Project manager, Amit Shukla, said that the park is designed for students in an educational manner. There are multiple games in the park which showcases five levels of hygiene - hygiene at home, hygiene in school, hygiene in neighbourhood, personal hygiene and hygiene during illness.
  • One of the students at the park shared her experience and expressed how easy it is to communicate the message of hygiene with the children through games.
