We sat in a huge Canter that would take us to the inner parts of the Jungle
The anticipation is always to spot a tiger. Whether it is a halt by a river creek in the hope that a thirsty Tiger may stop by and grace us with a photo op.
Not to be disappointed for not sighting a tiger, you move on and soak in the sights and sounds of the jungle.
Continuing into uncharted terrains, crossing topographies that were eerie and silent
Then at a distance, we saw something move behind the grass
A closer look, and we screamed in excitement... Did we just sight a herd of elephants?
Yes, it was! An entire family was crossing our way to bathe in the lake next to us
It was amazing how they all huddled up together as family
The father quickly taking his babies under his protection, while the older ones guarded them from the sides
And as the mother moved on to take charge of protecting their younger ones, the father elephant took the lead in guiding his family to quench their thirst
