The couple had quite a fairy tale romance. It was way back in 2005, that Cruise expressed his love for Katie in Oprah Winfrey's show by jumping up and down on the couch in excitement over his newfound love. Then he proposed to her at the top of Eiffel Tower in Paris.
In 2006, Katie gave birth to their first child Suri and the same year they got married at the15th-century Odescalchi Castle in Bracciano, Italy.
But Katie Holmes admitted that life with the actor made her feel like a 'robot'. By all accounts, Tom didn't see it coming.
Tom Cruise has reportedly counter filed for divorce and has hired the same lawyer that he used during his split with second wife Nicole Kidman. He is all set for a bitter custody battle over Suri Cruise.
