Reese Witherspoon: This mugshot was taken when the actress was arrested for misbehaving with a policeman in Atlanta after her husband, Hollywood agent Jim Toth, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol. The actress later apologised and said she was "deeply embarassed."

Lindsay Lohan: The troubled Mean Girls star turned herself in California as a formality on March 19, 2013, after she was sentenced to 90 days in rehab for lying to police in charges stemming from a car crash in November 2012.

Paris Hilton: The celebrity heiress was arrested on August 26, 2010 in Las Vegas after a packet of cocaine fell out of her purse in front of police officials, while she was searching for a lip balm. She was arrested on charges of drug possession and later released.

Michael Jackson: The King of Pop booked this mugshot in November 20, 2003 in California after being arrested on charges of child molestation. He was later released after posting $3 million bail.

Mel Gibson: On July 29, 2006, the actor was arrested in Malibu for an alleged anti-Jewish rant when held by the police on suspicion of drunk driving. The actor later apologised the Jewish community.

Nicole Richie: The reality star was arrested on August 3, 2007 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. She was later released.

Amanda Bynes: Child star Amanda was charged for driving under the influence of alcohol on April 6, 2012, after she allegedly sideswiped a police car and tried to escape the scene.

Russell Brand: On March 15, 2012, Katy Perry's ex was booked in New Orleans for reportedly grabbing a photographer's iPhone and tossing it through a window. The actor was released from jail after posting a $5000 bond.

Nicolas Cage: The actor was arrested on April 16, 2011, on charges of domestic abuse and public drunkenness, after he reportedly got drunk in New Orleans and argued with his wife over a house and yelling at a police official.
