The 'It' couple of Hollywood Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt aren't together, claims a book.
Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt has bought himself a bachelor pad to help him deal with his split from former partner Angelina Jolie.
The 46-year-old actor has spent 700,000 pounds on the house, complete with a cave, in the Hollywood Hills, said a report.
"The house oozes character. Brad has had his eye on it for some time but he decided now was the right time to buy because he wanted a place to call his own," a source close to the star said.
"He needs somewhere quiet that doesn't have memories of Angie and where he can be alone and think about what he does next," the source added.
Built in 1920 and originally on sale for 1.3million pounds, the property has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a bar area.
Pitt's mother Jane has reportedly stepped in to try to save his relationship with Jolie. She plans to meet the 34-year-old actress in Los Angeles next week.

A source told the News of the World: "The document was signed in early January. Both Brad and Angelina have signed it.
The troubled couple have not been photographed together in public in recent days. Brad, 46, was snapped backstage at the Hope For Haiti concert in Los Angeles without Angelina, 34.
His ex-wife Jennifer Aniston was there, although not with him.

Despite media reports that Pitt and Aniston had an acrimonious relationship, in a February 2009 interview, Pitt said that he and Aniston "check in with each other", adding, "She was a big part of my life."

The book says that Pitt, 45, may have cheated on 34-year-old Jolie as the most persistent story that crops up time and again involves Pitt and a beautiful Sudanese model, Amma, whom he met at a benefit for Darfur at the Cannes Film Festival in 2007. He was seen with her at least one more time.
According to the book, break-up between the couple is on the cards as Pitt's drug use will give Jolie an easy excuse to explain their split, when it takes place.
